Riegl Palate served as a great introduction to an article about Ed and me in the inaugural issue of The Luminary – a publication for Alumni, Parents and Friends of Franklin & Marshall College.  And a play on the College’s motto – Lux et Lex – Light and Law.

We both have very strong ties to the College and know that our time there played a large part in shaping who we are today. I should also mention that we have F&M to thank for bringing us together as that’s where we met.

2015 F&M LuminaryFor me I like how the article’s author Todd Lineburger tied my degree in art history to Riegl Palate. “Forced” to take a few studio courses in college to satisfy my degree requirements it was clear that while I had a great love and passion for art and its place in history, painting and drawing were not my strengths. Staging and photographing food, however, has proven to be a much more promising creative outlet. One that I didn’t even consider when I launched Riegl Palate back in 2012 but now love almost as much as making, tasting and sharing the actual food.

It made my day when Todd wrote asking if he could use some of my photos in his article. You can read the story here:  The Luminary – The Long of It.
